    We will begin by briefly describing some of the reasons to be interested in Hilbert module approach to operator theory.  Then we will review some recent results and developments in function theory and (multivariable) operator theory. Along the way, we will discuss a list of examples and (wild) conjectures. The talk is intended for a large audience.

    Jaydeb Sarkar，印度统计学院教授，研究方向为解析模及算子理论。在解析函数模、多圆盘上的Toeplitz算子，商模以及多复变理论做出了许多重要的结果，代表性论文发表在《Journal of Functional Analysis》、《Transaction of American Math. Society》、《Israel Journal of Mathematics》、《Indiana University Mathematics Journal》、等知名数字杂志上。
