In this talk, we present a proof of the Khavinson conjecture whichstates that, for bounded harmonic functions on the unit ball of R^n, the sharp constants in the estimates for their radialderivatives and for their gradients coincide. As a consequence, we alsoestablish an inequality of Schwarz-Pick type for harmonic functions on the unitball of R^n.
