Which positive operators in a factor von Neumann algebra can be written as sums of projections? This question is studied by Victor Kaftal, Ping Wong Ng, and Shuang Zhang. They obtained beautiful results on the question. In this talk we report some new progress on the question. This is joint work with Cao Xinyan，Fang Junshen and Wen Shilin.
主讲人介绍：
姚兆林，男，河北师范大学数学科学学院教师。2011年本科毕业于大连理工大学数学科学学院，获学士学位；2014年毕业于大连理工大学数学科学学院，获硕士学位；2020年毕业于南开大学数学所，获博士学位。2020年8月-2022年9月，在河北师范大学数学科学学院博士后科研流动站从事博士后研究。长期从事泛函分析von Neumann代数方向的研究，代表性成果发表在《Journal of Functional Analysis 》等著名数学杂志上。
